We do not sell personal data or use it for third-party advertising.
Cadence / Legal
Privacy,
without the fog.
Cadence needs league context to be useful. This policy explains what we collect, why we use it and the choices you have.
Chat text and uploaded images are not sent to PostHog analytics.
You can request access, correction or deletion of your account data.
We use account, league and roster data to provide Cadence. We use privacy-focused product analytics to understand whether features work, but we do not send PostHog your name, email, Sleeper username, chat text or image contents.
Who we are
Cadence is operated by JK19 Labs, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom (referred to as “Cadence”, “we”, “us” or “our”). For UK and EEA data-protection purposes, JK19 Labs is the controller of personal data collected through the Cadence mobile application and cadencefantasy.com (together, the “Service”).
You can contact us at support@cadencefantasy.com.
Data we collect
Account and access data
When you create an account, we process your email address, an internal account identifier, authentication records and session information. If you join the website waitlist, we store the email address you submit.
Connected fantasy data
Cadence currently connects only to Sleeper. When you connect an account, we access information available through Sleeper’s API, including your Sleeper identifier and username, leagues, rosters, players, scoring settings, drafts, transactions and related league state. We do not receive or store your Sleeper password.
Content and preferences
We process the information you give Cadence, such as chat messages, uploaded screenshots, trade scenarios, strategy preferences, notification settings and feedback. We also store generated recommendations and decision records when needed to provide history, continuity and inbox features.
Device and operational data
We may process app version, operating system, device platform, push notification token, notification delivery status, request timing, feature state, errors and security logs. Network services may receive an IP address and standard technical headers when your device connects.
Payments
The current TestFlight and APK beta does not charge testers. If paid plans are activated, the checkout or app-store provider will process payment details under its own privacy policy. Cadence does not intend to store full payment-card details.
Anonymous and pseudonymous analytics
We use PostHog’s EU service to understand product reliability and feature use. Analytics can include event names, feature entry points, league format, timing, success or failure states, broad message-length or image-size ranges, and internal user, league, player, request or attachment identifiers.
We do not intentionally send PostHog your name, email address, Sleeper username, chat message text, generated response text, uploaded images or image contents. Session replay is disabled, and detailed automatic error capture is disabled.
The mobile app associates events with an internal account identifier so we can understand reliability across sessions. The website uses a randomly generated browser identifier stored in local storage. These identifiers do not directly identify you to PostHog, but privacy law may treat persistent identifiers as pseudonymous rather than fully anonymous.
We use this information to improve Cadence, diagnose failures and measure whether features are useful. We do not use it for advertising or sell it to other organisations.
How and why we use data
- Provide the Service: authenticate you, connect leagues, preserve context, generate recommendations and deliver requested features. Our legal basis is performance of our contract with you.
- Operate safely and reliably: prevent abuse, investigate errors, protect accounts and maintain service health. Our legal basis is our legitimate interests and, where applicable, legal obligations.
- Improve Cadence: review pseudonymous usage patterns, feature performance and feedback. Our legal basis is our legitimate interests, or consent where applicable law requires it.
- Send notifications: deliver alerts you enable for your selected leagues. Our legal basis is providing the feature you requested and your device permission.
- Communicate with you: respond to support, beta and privacy requests. Our legal basis is contract, legitimate interests or consent, depending on the message.
We do not sell or rent personal data. We do not share it with third parties for their own advertising.
AI processing
To answer a request, Cadence may send your prompt and the relevant league, roster, player or draft context to AI and search providers. Only the context needed for the requested feature should be sent. AI output can be inaccurate and is used to provide fantasy-football guidance, not decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
Do not include unnecessary sensitive personal information in chats or screenshots.
Service providers and integrations
We use service providers to run Cadence. Depending on the feature, these include:
- Supabase — authentication, database, storage and server functions.
- PostHog EU — pseudonymous product analytics and reliability events.
- OpenRouter, Anthropic and Google — AI model routing and generation.
- Tavily — current web search used by relevant features.
- Sleeper — connected fantasy league and roster data.
- Expo, Apple and Google — application delivery, device services and push notifications.
These providers process information under their own terms and our provider arrangements. Cadence is not affiliated with or endorsed by Sleeper.
Retention and security
We retain account and connected-league data while your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the Service. Chat history and generated decisions may be retained to provide continuity. Push tokens are retained while notifications remain enabled or until they become invalid. Waitlist emails are retained until access is provided, you ask us to remove them, or the waitlist is closed.
When you request account deletion, we aim to delete or de-identify associated data within 30 days, except where limited retention is required for security, legal obligations, dispute resolution or backups. Pseudonymous analytics may remain in aggregated or de-identified reporting.
We use access controls, row-level database security, encrypted network transport, rate limits and operational safeguards. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
International transfers
Our providers may process data in the United Kingdom, European Economic Area, United States and other locations where they operate. Where required, we rely on recognised transfer safeguards such as adequacy regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or Standard Contractual Clauses.
Cookies, local storage and device storage
Cadence does not use advertising cookies. The website uses browser local storage for a random analytics identifier and may use essential storage required for site or account functionality. The mobile app stores session, preferences and feature state on your device. You can clear website storage through your browser and app storage through your device or by deleting the app.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of personal data; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; and complain to a supervisory authority. UK users can contact the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
US state privacy laws may provide similar rights, including rights to know, correct or delete information and opt out of sale or targeted advertising. Cadence does not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Children
Cadence is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from a child under 16. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Cadence, its integrations or legal obligations change. We will update the date above and provide additional notice in the app or by email when a change is material.
